LFW | Zoe Jordan AW 13

Opening London Fashion Week was Zoe Jordan’s AW13 collection, which delivered refined, lux sportswear with a twist.

Mixed among the more traditional AW colours of black and grey were eye-popping pink and zesty orange, as well as hounds tooth and navy. Relaxed, boyish cuts dominated the collection; however, there were some beautifully structured pieces such as the graphic black and white dress. Her pieces had an androgynous edge, yet remained feminine and are perfect for the busy London girl who wants to look effortless, stylish and sporty. Jordan also gave us a fabulous metallic pantsuit, for me one of the standout pieces of the collection. I would love to have an occasion to wear this razor-sharp cut jacket and matching pants.

The Zoe Jordan girl does not only know how to dress looking effortless and chic but the relaxed feel was also reflected in the hair with Jordan showing us slightly messy, just-scrapped-back ponytails on her girls. The minimalist, English-rose make-up allowed the clothes to speak for themselves and reminded me of the effortless yet polished look at we often see in New York but adapted to the less formal London Fashion scene.

This season also saw the launch of Zoe Jordan footwear with some great ankle-boot wedge heels, remaining true to the colour pallet of the collection with some vibrant colours mixed with the more subtle grey, white and black.
